Job Description:
Responsible for maximizing passenger revenue in assigned markets of up to $500M annually, mentors others and contributes to training in addition to owning complex analytical responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads or initiates analytical project outside of own markets
- Manage inventory for aircraft swaps/IROPs and identify opportunities to change planes
- Begins to use SQL to pull large amounts of data that support root cause analysis and communication
- Proactively monitor and analyze nonstop market performance and forecast quality to identify opportunities for revenue growth and adjust forecasts accordingly
- Deep understanding of RM forecasting and essential tools
- Provide internal Customer Service to Customer Relations and Operations
- Create and manage flight level inventory controls, including post analysis after application
- Understand how pricing adjustments impact demand forecasts and make adjustments as necessary
- Identify outliers in forecasting system and make appropriate actions (for the most difficult and complex O&Ds)
- Represents Yield and Revenue Management in cross-team discussions; is qualified to speak on behalf of Yield Team in external setting
- Develop senior-level reports and presentations for Leadership and other departments on performance and future initiatives
- Monitor fare initiatives in assigned markets and work with Pricing Team to identify potential pricing actions
- Serve as a mentor and a Leader in Revenue Management
- Takes comprehensive view of market ownership; is able to see ahead and move forward with requisite course of action without being instructed by Leader
- Begins to mentor other Analysts
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data, draw implications and modify approach
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Demonstrated analytical ability
- Demonstrated proficiency working with SQL, Access and Excel
- Maintains high quality of work even in complex situations with tight deadlines
- Consistently takes big picture into account in decision stream and makes right decision
- Ability to make decision in an ambiguous environment
- Intermediate functionality in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Handles complex analyses well with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Uses data to synthesize action plan and can clearly communicate interpretation of data to others
Qualification & Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree – Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Business or Engineering preferred
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Writing SQL (can write simple native SQL statements and edit/comprehend intermediate SQL statements)
- Required: 4 Years of Revenue Management or equivalent analytical experience required (graduate degree in relevant field equivalent to 1 year of work experience)
