As a Range Analyst for Floral and Prepared Produce, you’ll own the end to end ranging process with relevant interactions with all stakeholders to manage projects to time.  This means we’re looking for someone with analytical, organisational and project management experience, who can interpret complex data from multiple sources into meaningful insight and actions that can be delivered within appropriate project landmarks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify strategic range objectives for your category and translate them into more detailed actions plans for range and merchandising delivery
  • Identify range opportunities that unlock incremental category spend and satisfaction through an improved offer
  • Objectively evaluate the potential value creation of your range delivery
  • Conduct appropriate and proportionate analysis to inform range creation ensuring a broad mix of sources are referenced
  • Create ranges that reflect your ambitious objectives and conform to wider strategic direction in the form of Product Quality Framework
  • Coordinate the efforts of all stakeholders ensuring the project runs to budget, time and meets the quality and purpose outlined in the strategy
  • Accountable for the creation of the store implementation briefing pack
  • Conduct Post Investment Reviews of major range changes to learn and iterate
  • Provide research, support, guidance and training on ranging excellence
  • Line manage (where relevant) an in-category merchandiser ensuring ranges are brought to life on fixture

Job Requirements:

  • Experienced analyst with proven ability to work with large data sets and turning them into actions
  • Ability to spot opportunities and prioritise conflicting demands to ensure the most important needs of our customers are met first
  • Efficient with proven experience of successful project management of varying size and scope
  • Creative, with good synthesis and integration skills, excellent communication skills, able to dialogue with people from all ranks
  • Ability to balance quantitative and qualitative market assessment from a variety of sources
  • Ability to define requirements, timetable of events and interdependencies in the process from start to finish

  • Supportive, empowering direct reports and giving them the support they need to grow and develop
  • Comfortable with numbers and quick to adapt to tools and systems easily
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Knowledge of merchandising software e.g. JDA desirable not essential
