Job Description:

Partner with the business to design, develop and implement Human Capital solutions that will enable the Retail Investments business unit within Momentum Investments to achieve their objectives and goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive active involvement in engagement and pulse surveys to pro-actively drive solutions to positively impact the business to deliver on its goals and objectives.
  • Work with leadership and the specialist teams in the Human Capital team (OD, Internal Events and Communication) to ensure optimal organisational design, pro-active performance management, employee engagement, and effective talent management of employees.
  • Identify effectiveness and training needs together with line managers and identify suitable solutions.
  • Identify solutions to enhance cost-effectiveness and increase operational efficiency within the HC team.
  • Drive the implementation of the HC strategy within the Retail Investments business and tailor-make solutions to suit the needs of the clients.
  • Create active involvement across the Retail Investments portfolio of clients.
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to HC team during day-to-day operations.
  • Work with the HC team to develop leadership interventions to grow and develop leaders at all levels of the business.
  • Strategically partner with Exco members around transformational Human Capital solutions (change management, leadership development, wellness, talent risk management etc.) to enable business strategy execution.
  • Effective business partnering with leaders by building strong relationships and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the business and its needs.
  • Solid understanding of Human Capital practices and the full Human Capital value chain to be translated into best practice, advice, and recommendations.
  • Deliver creative reporting to Exco and Manco clients to keep the leadership updated on matters within their business which will enable leadership to make the right and best decisions with regards to their people.
  • Work with the Human Capital team to do effective workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, onboarding, and performance management to align with the needs of the business and workforce.
  • Be part of the Business Manco team and influence key business decisions to ensure the effective management of employees through the fair, efficient, and pragmatic application of best practices.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process with the HCBPs and HCAs to ensure that world-class talent is attracted. This includes the process of psychometric assessments or in-basket assessments. When candidates are successfully appointed ensure that they receive assessment feedback and partner with them and the recruiting Exco managers to implement plans for their development.
  • Pro-actively manage and oversee transactional Human Capital processes and solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Analytical thinking and the ability to analyse survey results and draw effective insights.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Registration with HPCSA (psychometrist/industrial psychologist) preferred
  • Ability to influence and help the business make the right decisions.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate and build strong relationships.
  • An understanding of the financial services industry and the complexities thereof.
  • Creativity to develop solutions that are unique and different.

Qualification & Experience:

  • 6-8 Years Human Capital business partnering experience that includes operating across the full Human Capital value chain.
  • Experience within the Investments Industry, and in-depth change management experience would be an advantage.
  • B.Com Honours in HR or Industrial Psychology
  • A passion for Human Capital and solid knowledge and experience.
