Momentum Careers – Fund Specialist

Job Description:

To support the Head of Momentum Collective Investments (MCI) with the distribution of Momentum’s local investment funds as well as with the implementation of the MCI strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilise traditional and disruptive processes to build Momentum Collective Investments’ profile in the market.
• Keep abreast of emerging technology and digital trends that can lead to operational efficiencies.
• Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards to ensure that clients receive appropriate advice and after sales service.
• Show care upon every client touchpoint, to deliver an exceptional experience.
• Participate in the asset allocation and portfolio construction meetings to ensure a first-hand knowledge of the investment philosophy, portfolio holdings and portfolio decisions, as well as a good understanding of the local markets context.
• Drive the implementation of the Momentum Collective Investments (MCI) strategy to deliver and promote Momentums Investment Management funds and solutions, in line with business objectives.
• Promote and adhere to the Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited values: Accountability, Diversity, Excellence, Innovation, Integrity and Teamwork.
• Support the Head of MCI to implement tactical and Fund Specialist’s plans to execute the MCI strategy to drive local sales targets.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to enable sales channels with the required knowledge and skills to position the local capability.
• Bolster support with discretionary fund managers and platforms.
• Implement the distribution strategy to increase net flows into local funds through advisors using third party platforms (i.e., not Momentum Platforms).
• Contribute to the development of business cases for proposal to decision-making bodies.
• Identify new and innovative techniques and solutions in MCI to solve for business gaps.
• Continuously develop own expertise in terms of industry and subject matter development and application thereof in area of specialisation.

Qualification & Experience:

• Local markets experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Investment.
• CFA (with any levels or all 3) or equivalent investment background.
• Experience in Unit Trust specialization.
• 3 – 4 years experience in Collective Investments environment.
