Job Description:

To control the operations of the generation unit and to maintain the mechanical plant

Job Responsibilities:

• Issue/cancel permit to work ( operating)
• Check that correct spares and materials are available as an when needed
• Perform administrative duties
• Perform stand by duties
• Maintain electrical plant equipment , do fault finding and attend to breakdowns
• Perform operating activities
• Investigate recurring problems level 3 only
• Supervise contractors/ Eskom staff activities during outages
• Take out plant permits as per laid down procedures EG maintenance
• Assist with the writing of procedures/instructions/ guides and compilation of work packages and submit for authorization
• Assist with modification level 1 and level 2
• Perform any legitimate activity as required

Qualification & Experience:

• 2 years’ related experience
• N3 + Trade Test
