Job Description:

This position analyzes market fundamentals, global trade flows, competitor activity and industry growth to support Chevron’s refined products trading team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs lookback analysis on trading performance or historical analysis of market fundamentals to enhance learning for trading team and to improve accuracy of tools / models
• Proactively shares information quickly and collaboratively, utilizing tools such as PowerBI
• Evaluate market flows / pricing, competitor activity and other industry information to support and to provide insights into trading efforts
• Partner with other groups across Supply & Trading to share information and to identify additional value opportunities
• Creates and maintains applicable models / tools to monitor market drivers (e.g., supply/ demand, cargo activity) to support trading opportunities
• Utilize cross-product knowledge and cross-regional networks to enhance trading analytics and to support trading strategies
• Identify opportunities and influence trading activities for physical and/or financial trading positions
• Facilitate regional and global commodity team meetings, supporting dialogue that moves past the data and enables trading action

Qualification & Experience:

• 3-5 years of working experience in Market data analytics or related roles
• Oil and gas industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree, Economics or Engineering
• Experience identifying market trends and executing value chain analysis
• MBA
