Job Description:

The Category Specialist is responsible for developing and executing category strategies and providing category management support and coordination to the Pascagoula Refinery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Works with stakeholders and suppliers to identify and execute opportunities that deliver value to the business.
• Facilitates stakeholder engagements among strategic suppliers and refinery business partners.
• Nurtures and maintains a close relationship with refinery stakeholders to understand business needs and support the overall business strategy.
• Accountable for developing sourcing strategies, negotiations, contract formulation, and supplier relationship management.
• Monitoring market dynamics and identifying new and innovative ways to optimize management of the given PSLs.
• Ensures appropriate application of Category Management principles, negotiation strategies, advanced supplier relationship strategies, and PSCM core processes and procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Intermediate Excel (ie. Vlookup and Pivot Tables) and Power Point
• Fundamental Project Management skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Two years work experience in Contract Formulation
• Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Two years work experience in Contractual and Commercial negotiation
• Five years of professional work experience or two years of professional work experience in the oil industry
• Three years of work experience in Manufacturing (Refining) industry
• Master of Science in Supply Chain Management, Advanced Certificate in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Two years work experience in Project Management
• Two years work experience in Business Analysis (Analytical skills)
