Job Description:

The Workforce Staffing (WFS) Team is looking for a Sr. Staffing Manager. In this multi-purpose leadership role; you will own both engagement and optimization for a defined geography (node). Creating a collaborative team environment and a strong candidate oriented culture that ensures deliver of efficient, effective, quality driven service to business partners is essential for success. The Sr. Staffing Manager will focus in three key areas: 1) Owning the strategic development and delivery of community engagement plans, 2) Executing labor demand plans for multiple sites across the node, 3) execution of candidate engagement activities, and 4) development of relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to build long term partnerships. You will manage an organization of Staffing Team Leads, Coordinators, Administrators, and Ambassadors who thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the analyses of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of Workforce Staffing performance via Key Performance Indicators
  • Owns training, development, team culture and morale for Workforce Staffing Team
  • Evolves and implements strategies based off consistently changing needs of the business by tracking hiring event schedules and forecasted attendance rates
  • Sr. Staffing Managers will work with Staffing team members and partners across varying shifts to include evenings and weekends in multiple sites
  • Develops and maintains relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to build long term partnerships
  • Forecast labor demand plans and create scalable staffing strategies to build infrastructure and ensure team resource capabilities meet business demand
  • Leads and drives projects, of increasing scale and complexity, and manages programs through completion
  • Manage and build strategies to optimize candidate cycle time, conversion rates and applicant funnel metrics to benchmark
  • Evolves and implements labor acquisition strategies inclusive of employee class recommendations, labor pool utilization, talent pool conversion and other channel resources across different Amazon businesses
  • Creates a vision, based upon data, for a team/business and develops scalable strategies that capture the best talent and most diverse candidates at the lowest cost per hire and cost per WFS employee
  • Partner with site Finance Managers and Operations Leaders to forecast and plan labor demand
  • Sets KPI’s benchmarks, metrics, and understands how to prioritize to meet and exceed all business SLAs
  • Partners with local Site Leadership teams to include but not limited to Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and associated workflow teams to optimize labor requirements
  • Build and foster community engagement and sourcing strategies and demonstrate through data return on investment
  • Have development discussions and provide detailed feedback to direct reports on performance and growth plans
  • Manage and own cost per hire budgets through oversight of labor acquisition, advertising and other talent acquisition costs within the node
  • Exceed associate experience service levels and KPI’s measured by hiring activity results and defect reduction

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
  • Must be able to travel as needed to conduct events in various locations within your designated Node or assigned geographical area. Local travel up to 75% required – National travel up to 10%
  • Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking key performance metrics including return on investment
  • Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques

Qualification & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a fast paced, customer oriented environment, such as operations, administrative support, customer service, retail, hospitality, staffing, recruiting, human resources or other related field
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or other tracking and reporting systems like Salesforce
  • Experience managing and prioritizing business types and locations, projects and relationships
  • Cross-functional project management experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing hourly and salary employees
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
