Job Description:

Provide systems support functions to the business as a whole, improving IT efficiency and company productivity. Responsible for remote and on-site setup and support of IT software, hardware and infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interprets business/ customer requirements in order to provide timeous solutions
  • Provide an interface between the user and IT department
  • Ensure all maintenance, installations and upgrades are done according to company standards
  • Close interaction between all members of IT to ensure that requests are dealt with accurately and efficiently
  • Development of knowledge base and intellectual property
  • After hours support
  • Take ownership for driving own career
  • Remote support
  • Setup, testing and support of network infrastructure
  • Actively coach, train and empower internal and external team members to create an understanding of skills and specialties
  • Provide basic IT training to staff
  • Install and move IT equipment, reporting of faults to Helpdesk and follow up
  • Manage closure of Helpdesk calls
  • Levels and quality of service delivery as experienced by internal and external stakeholders
  • Testing of products
  • Output results from client servicing activities, including value of advice to customer and/ or stakeholders
  • Responsiveness: timeous response, reaction and turnaround time
  • Respond to all customer calls
  • Rollout and implementation of software and hardware products
  • Maintain IT visibility in the branches by regular branch visits
  • Manage all aspects of branch projects (branch opening, closure, moves and renovations)
  • Manage petrol cards and costs
  • Setup, testing and support displays

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience 1-2 years’ experience within a large desktop environment
  • Matric
  • 3 years’ experience within a large desktop environment
