In 2020, the API Gateway team created a new team in Vancouver, Canada that is building and expanding our API Management offering. You will be leading and owning the development of a net new feature that will expand our API Management product. We’re looking for an engineer who has a strong sense of ownership and drive. You are one who to thrives when faced with ambiguous problems and are able to devise unique solutions for them from to production. You bring a balance of excellence, bias for action, and deliver results. All of that while guiding and mentoring junior developers along the way as you help shape the future of API management.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java or other languages such as Rust, Scala, Go, Ruby, C++, etc.
  • Familiarity with the API Management eco-system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sense of ownership, urgency and drive.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in object-oriented development, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
  • 4+ years professional experience in software development.
  • Experience developing and maintaining API’s.
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying large-scale customer facing applications.
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science.
  • Experience designing and building sophisticated fault-tolerant software.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers on good software practices and reviews.
  • Experience with operation of production systems.
